LACVS - Empowering Communities

Lancashire Association of CVS (LACVS) is a partnership of 9 independent, not for profit organisations that work from a network of local offices across the Lancashire sub-region. We offer practical help to voluntary, communtiy, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations and people that want to volunteer in their communties.

We support voluntary action and connect to local VCFSE organisations that reach into their communities. We do this because voluntary action empowers communities and changes lives -  it harnesses the local skills, talent and energy that are at the heart of strong and healthy communities.

Our services range from supporting volunteering and its tremendous contribution to local life to helping people form and run VCFSE organisations, improve wellbeing and find local solutions to need.

LACVS comprises:

Community CVS

Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS

Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS

Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde CVS

Chorley Voluntary and Community Sector Network

Lancashire BME Network

Lancaster District CVS

Volunteer Centre Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde

West Lancashire CVS

LACVS was formed because its Members and Associates believe that they can achieve more by working together - from sharing resources to finding new ways to meet need. We have a long track record of successful work in local communities both through our own organisations and as part of LACVS.

We are committed to working together to maximise our resources and providing services that help empower communities.
